TRAMPOLINES AND BONES- NOT A GOOD COMBO!

PRESTON AND HIS BIG BLUE CAST!

LAST WEEK PRESTON WAS JUMPING ON THE TRAMP WITH FRIENDS. WHILE JUMPING HE WENT DOWN ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES AND APPARENTLY BROKE HIS ARM! HIS MOTHER IS BEING GIVEN THE MOTHER OF THE YEAR AWARD BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T TAKE HIM TO THE DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY! PRESTON COMPLAINED OF HIS ELBOW HURTING OFF AND ON DURING THE WEEK BUT MOM THOUGHT THAT HE HAD JUST BRUISED OR HYPER EXTENDED HIS ARM. WHEN ABBIE AND PRESTON WERE WRESTLING ON MONDAY SHE HIT HIS ARM AND HE WENT DOWN IN TEARS! THATS WHEN MOM KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG. SO OFF TO THE URGENT CARE FOR X-RAYS AND COME TO FIND OUT IT BROKEN. SORRY PRESTON!!! GOOD NEWS IS THE ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON SAYS NO SURGERY JUST A CAST FOR A WHILE. EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT VERY FUN IT MAKES HIM LOOK TOUGH:o)

WE HAD A NEIGHBORHOOD BBQ COMPLETE WITH YUMMY FOOD AND GOOD COMPANY! THEN ON TO THE SPARKLERS AND SMOKE BOMBS! THE KIDS LOVED THEM. ON THE NIGHT OF THE FOURTH WE WENT TO A PARK CLOSE TO THANKSGIVING POINT AND WATCH THE "BIG" FIREWORKS. IT WAS THE BEST EVER!

WE WILL MISS YOU!!!

GRANDPA "WITH THE KNOCKING LEG" AS OUR KIDS AFFECTIONATELY CALL HIM, PASSED AWAY ON JULY 11 2008. HIS FUNERAL WAS A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE TO A MAN WITH SO MANY QUALITIES. OUR KIDS HAVE GREAT MEMORIES OF GRANDPA SINCE HE ALWAYS FOUND TIME TO SPEND WITH THEM. SOME OF THEIR FAVORITE MEMORIES INCLUDE GOING TO PARK CITY, EATING GUMBALLS, CHRISTMAS BINGO, KNOCKING ON GRANDPA'S "FAKE" LEG, AND PARTY'S IN THE BACKYARD. WE FELT BLESSED TO BE A PART OF HIS FAMILY AND TO BE ABLE TO BE RECIPIENTS OF HIS LOVE.

playing catch-up!

LEHI ROUND-UP DAYS!!!

Lehi Round up days is a HUGE deal for the people of Lehi, including my kids. We loaded up our candy,h2o, and our friends and headed to the stock parade. Yes, I said stock parade. We went and waved at the Horses and the rodeo queens.I am always amazed at how they can look so comfortable on a horse with the waist of their pants in their armpits:O) All I have to say is WOW!
Then it was off to the Rodeo. We had great seats in the shade and some really yummy snow cones. Mckena has decided that she really wants to be a barrel racer when she gets big. She really wants the pink armpit hugger pants. She pretty much thinks that they are super cute.
I took this photo of the kids and Josh at about 11:00pm when the excitement was wearing off for Mckena. It was especially fun watching the kids with their eyes wide and jaws dropped!
To top off a super fun weekend Ella was blessed on Sunday. She looked very sweet in her blessing dress and Josh gave her a wonderful blessing.
We really appreciated all our family and friends that came and supported us on Ella's big day. After church we came back to the house for a BBQ and playing with the cousins. It was lots of fun and a great way to end the week!
