MY HERO JOSH!

The Heber valley century ride was this Saturday.

Josh and a group of friends rode the full 100 miles!

This is why Josh is my hero. Plus he looks HOTT on his bike!!!

The kids and I went up and watched him finish.
He finished strong with a smile on his face!
Josh's BFF was happy to see him finish. Mckena kept saying "I hope he doesn't crash!"

Josh is a true athlete. He trains hard and he loves being able to set his mind to something and accomplishing it. I have never met anyone with a stronger drive and dedication than Josh. We love going to every race that he participates in and cheer him on. We are so proud of you ! You are our HERO!!!

1. I am a germ-a-phobic! I have some serious issues with germs. Particularly shopping carts, public bathrooms, gas pumps, schools door handles, and shaking hands with men! Yes- my friends men. Why you ask? It has been proven that a high number of men do not wash there hands after going tinkle. SICK!!! They touch their "man parts" then don't wash? NASTY! This is why I HEART hand sanitizer. It's my BFF.
2. I am totally addicted to Lip Gloss. I love my lips enough to take them to Bath and Body and buy them Limeade lip gloss. It makes me super happy inside!
3. I am super sensitive to smells. There is nothing better than a yummy smell when you walk into a room. I love the smell the dryer leaves outside your house when your drying clothes or a yummy candle. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! * TIP* You know how whenever you make broccoli someone always comes over and your house literally smells like crap? Just inform that that you just made poop for dinner:O)
4. I hate feet! I don't like other peoples feet and I try to keep my feet to myself. I had my first pedicure before I had L because I was just too sinkin fat to do my own. It was PAINFUL! I kept telling myself not to kick the poor man or yank my feet away from him. The only thing good about it was the way my feet felt after.
5. I have a tendancy to give people nicknames. Some of my favorites include no neck, tree hugger, tator tot, and Ronda (that's Josh's). I don't know why but that's what I do.
6. I once ate a hot dog from a gas station. For someone who has meat issues why in the name of everything that is holy would I eat a hot dog from a gas station? All I can say is that I was pregnant and not at all myself. I have not had one sense and never will! I did live and apparently L though it was darn yummy. From now on L will have to eat her own hot dogs though. I love her but NO MORE HOT DOGS FOR ME!

THAT FREAKS ME OUT!!!

So Mckena and I were in the car yesterday and this was our conversation:

Mckena: Mom I want to play with Nick and Quarter (Porter)
Mom: Sarah had her baby this morning so the are playing with their Grandma today.
Mckena: If I eat this sandwich am I going to get bigger?
Mom: Yes.
Mckena: Well then I don't want to eat it.
Mom: Why? Don't you want to get big and strong?
Mckena: Nope cause then you have to get big and get married and have a baby out of your private parts and that freaks me out!
Mom: Speechless.

FYI- I did however tell Mckena that we don't talk about how baby's are born with our friends. I would hate for her share her wealth of information with the innocent.

A FEW THINGS TO BLOG ABOUT...

First of all meet my new couch!!!

After 14 years of marriage,1 bachelor's degree, 1 master's degree, 1/2 of a second masters, I finally got a couch. You may think this is lame but this is a big day for me!

Ella found her thumb! This is not a good thing. You can throw away a Binky but not a thumb! Pretty much a nightmare for a germ a phobic like myself:O) The plan is to take it the thumb out of her mouth if we see it in there and replace it with a Binky. It's going OK so far.Ill keep you posted!
Grandma Gourley and Grandma Brown came out for Preston's birthday. We went to Pier 51 pizza and Arctic Circle for shakes! It was super fun! Thanks Grandma's!!!
Today my sister's and I stole my Mom for a lunch out. My Mom has been at my dad's bedside for a week now and was in need of a break. So we left him in capable hands and went to grab a quick bite. Whenever the sisters get together it chuck full of good times and laughter. Today was no different. I think it was good for my mom to have an hour of her normal life back and it was good for me to be with my best friends!
And finally for my man... Josh's BFF, hero, twin, and man crush LANCE ARMSTRONG has announced his coming out of retirement!!! If I wasn't special ed I would have put a picture of this hottie fra tottie here but couldn't figure out how. So... the point is Lance is back and my man is gitty:O)

Today was a pretty awful day for me. I called my Mom to see how my Dad was doing and she said he was doing OK but that they were discharging him from the hospital today. I immediately felt my stomach drop because I knew he was not well enough to go home... thus the bad day.
Once upon a time I worked in a rest home called Crestview. I was a CNA there. Even though I and loved it I vowed that my parents would never go to a care facility. Well I was wrong! Because my Dad need re-hab he has to go to a facility and guess what ? It was the very one that I worked at, just remodeled. As the dutiful daughter I put my game face on and went to the Hospital and followed my parents to the center. I walked in and immediately had felt sick to my stomach. I did my best to point out all the great things and reassure my Dad that all was well but inside I wanted to take his wheelchair and run home. After we got him situated and he was resting I went to say my good-byes and I looked at my Dad. When he looked up at me I couldn't help but think WOW- you have gotten old. How did this happen? I held it together until I got through the front door and then I burst into tears. I know that this is not long term and that there was nothing else we could do but it just plain sucks.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

MY DAD TURNED THE BIG 70 ON SEPT. 4TH.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME GETTING TOGETHER FOR TREATS AND SOME GOOD FAMILY TIME. MY PARENTS WERE THEN PLANNING ON HEADING OUT OF TOWN FOR A END OF THE SUMMER CAMPING TRIP. WHILE MY DAD WAS PUTTING FINISHING TOUCHES ON THE CAMPER HE FELL AND BROKE HIS HIP. DAD HAS BEEN FALLING A LOT LATELY AND SO THEY ARE RUNNING SOME TESTS WHILE HIS IS IN THE HOSPITAL RECOVERING FROM SURGERY TO TRY AND FIND OUT WHY. IT'S SCARY TO WATCH YOUR PARENTS, WHO ARE SUPPOSE TO BE INVINCIBLE, GO THROUGH HARD TIMES. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL BE ABLE TO FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND CORRECT IT. WE ARE KEEPING OUR FINGERS CROSSED! HOPE YOU HAVE A SPEEDY RECOVERY DAD. WE LOVE YOU!!
