Easter with the Brown's

After church on Sunday we headed to Jo Jo's for dinner and a Easter egg hunt. Grandma Brown made yummy ham and potatoes and Manda made her famous deviled eggs! There is the crew with Pappy. WOW that is a lot of kids:O)
Josh was in charge of sending the kids out in a timely manner. We wouldn't want any dead bodies for Easter!
Is this not the sweetest picture? This is Rebecca one of the triplets (according to Mckena)! Rebecca is so stinkin cute. She really likes Josh so when she let me play with her I was thrilled.

Baby Taylor and Ella. I love little Taylor trying to get a little something sweet from the bag!
All the little people after the hunt!

Thanks for hosting Jo! We really had a great time:O)

Easter

Easter morning was better than I thought it was going to be. I needed to be to the church at 7:30 am to volunteer at the Utah Developmental Center which I was not happy about. See I was selfish and wanted to spend Easter morning with my kids but I reluctantly went and it was one of the best experiences ever. It was very touching to push these sweet spirits to church and to see how important it was to them to be there. To just be the the presence of perfect individuals and to see how the life of Jesus Christ makes all things possible was a great way to start out Easter.

So after the kids got their baskets, ate peeps:O) and found some eggs we got ready for church and head out for a really great day...

Bad habit!!

Mckena has started a bad habit of biting her nails. As a former nail biter of 25 yrs I feel know that pain that comes from being a biter so I tried to offer a little advise

Mom: Mckena quit biting your nails. It is going to make your fingers hurt.
Mckena: I can't! They taste so good. They taste like pancakes!

So I guess I need to invest in the sicko nail biting stuff cause I am pretty sure that doesn't taste like pancakes!

Miss Abbie's Big Day!

This was a HUGE day for Abbie! Since she turned 8 years old she decided that she wanted to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On Saturday April 11th 2009 Abbie was baptized by her Dad. It was such a special day for her and all of us that were able to share in the sweet spirit that was there. After the baptism Abbie was surrounded by the priesthood brethren that are so important to her and was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. Josh gave her a very sweet and tender blessing that Abbie will always remember. Then off to a luncheon of soup, rolls, fruit, veggies, and cake. It was a wonderful day surrounded by our families and friends that mean so much to us. Thank you so much for coming and helping make Abbie's day extra special.

Where she thinks she needs to sleep!

Yup that's my baby! Since she was sick and therefore GLUED to me, we seem to be having a little separation anxiety. El goes to bed just fine but wakes up every hour for a little one on one time. I know, I know, I am a sucker. I should just let her cry until she falls asleep again but I just can't do it.
So last night after getting her about 5 times I just put her in my bed. When I finished getting ready for bed and came out of the bathroom she gave me this big smile.
Yeah she knows whats up. I may have created a monster but at least she's a cute monster:O)

THOUGHTS ON THURSDAY!!!

  1. STOMACH FLU... is there anything worse? I cannot keep my poor baby well. Usually it is the boogers and tuberculosis cough but the last two days has been puke and ..... i wont mention. I have disinfected EVERYTHING I can get my hands on hoping not to pass this yumminess on to the other little people.
  2. Sympathy nausea. Do you other moms get this? Every time my kids are sick I come down with a case of sympathy nausea. Then I fall back into the pregnancy diet and start eating. WHY? It's like I need a post it on the box of crackers that says "your not prego this wont help" Yet there I am gagging down a saltine in the pantry.
  3. My neighbor is putting me in the home. Not the wonderful, beautiful, talented neighbors that read this just the one that doesn't:O) Enough said. I am working on love thy neighbor since it is not a "suggestion" but an actual commandment.
  4. Feeling like like we are up in the air. Lots of options with Josh getting close to the end of school. Feeling blessed that we are in a position with options.
  5. WISHING, PRAYING, HOPING, and BEGGING for spring.
  6. Made my spring cleaning list. Now for the motivation to get it done!
  7. Super sad about the Harts gas station being closed. Super happy moments of getting Diet Cokes, Slurpee's, the BEST donuts ever (cake with coconut on top), nachos with Coree and Teresa, and the weirdest cashiers ever. Farewell my friend. I will miss you but my fanny is grateful!

March GNO

For March GNO my sisters and I went to Maglebys fresh and had dinner then off to MEG's to have our toes painted.
We always have such a fun time together.

Here's the final product of the night. They all turned out so stinkin cute. Meg is absolutely amazing. All the designs are hand painted.
So there you have it the final project! I know it kinda grosses me out to to look at pictures of feet but I didn't want to forget! Thanks Rhiannon for a great night out! Love you guys:O)
