Thursdays thoughts @11:31 wed. night

1. After the month of July I am TOTALLY and COMPLETELY exhausted! I will post all the adventures in a later post!
2. Mckena and her friends did their hair today while playing dress ups. Mckena ended up with Vaseline in her bangs. YES you read that right VASELINE. What the heck?? How am I going to get that out? I think I might try Dawn tomorrow! UGH...
3. Preston has been out playing night games everyday for the past week or so. I wish I could go play. Brings back so many good memories:O)
4. I have been thinking a lot lately about people being offended. My personal opinion is how about we worry about more important things and try not to be so sensitive? I think it would help us all if we were a little more attentive and a little less cranky with each other.
5. Went to do a little school shopping. Walked in, found 10 items, checked out, saw stars at the $175.00 bill, and thought crap I have to do this again? Poke my eyes out!
6. Have A new found appreciation for the pioneer women. WOW those were some tough Chickie's!!!
7. Pretty much despise the new converter box. The kids lost the remote a few days ago and cant watch TV. I was all OK with this until I wanted to watch the news. Cant change the channel with out the remote!
8. Do you remember the movie Princess Bride? Well I watched this movie when I was probably 14 years old with this boy that I liked. Half way through the movie he leaned in to kiss me. Well this being my first kiss I didn't really know what I was doing and apparently he knew even less. It was a slobbery nightmare!!! NASTY! I kept thinking is this ever going to end??? Totally ruined the movie for me. So when Josh brought it home from the library a few days ago I thought fat chance buddy. I did however watch part of it and actually laughed. It was much better with out the slobbery boy all over my face:O)

We had lots of fun during Lehi Round-up week. Picnic in the park, then met up with the neighborhood kids for the stock parade.

Even though it was raining a little the kids LOVED all the horses.

Then off to the RODEO!!! We love the rodeo. Wish I had taken a few more pictures but we were having so much fun we forgot:O)

Mckena LOVED playing she had a great time. On the last game they had cupcakes decorated like baseballs super cute but the tread was done in red food coloring so Mckena wouldn't eat it! Go figure:O) Miss Ella was happy to help her out:

I made Josh promise me that he would not let Ella walk while I was at girls camp. He promised to push her down if she tried:O) Apparently he carried her LOTS while I was gone so that he could keep his promise but when I got home he put her down and she walked about 6 steps to me. Yes... I cried!

10 things you might not know about me...

I know I should be blogging about all the things my cute family has been up to since I am WAY far behind but .... I think I will just do a quick answer to a tag I got from my super cute sister-in-law, Car Car and hopefully get updated after Girls camp!!!

SO.. 10 things you may or may not know about me in random order

1. I am totally scared of the dark. Yes, it is true I sleep with a night light and I have passed this to my little people. We have a small army of night lights at our house, just in case one dies in the night!
2. I pretty much love shoes. No matter what I eat they always fit.
3. Don't ever try to touch my feet! I HATE feet! I do not like people touching my feet and I certainly wont touch yours. I had a pedicure once and it was pretty much a nightmare!
4. I am addicted to gum. I always have some. It has to be either green or blue that's it.
5. I go down the laundry detergent isle every time I am at the grocery store even if I don't need any detergent. I LOVE it!!! It smells so yummy that it is like my own little reward for going to Walmart. Try it. You will LOVE it!
6. My favorite chore is vacuuming. I would vacuum more than once a day if I could. Part of me wishes my carpet was the kind that left lines where you vacuumed but then I would always be after the kids to not walk on the carpet and nobody wants to live with a mom who wont let you walk on the carpet:O)
7. I was a nail bitter from the time I was about 4 until about 3 years ago. Now that my friends, is a long time!!! Plus SICK!!!
8. I lOVE to read. I read everyday and would secretly like to write a book one day. (shh don't tell anyone)
9. I buy my bras in the little girls section. Yep that is where they sell ALMOST A size. This is good for two reasons. First it is cheaper. Second I get to buy the biggest size they carry:O)
10. I make my new years resolutions in April. I really don't like the months of Jan-Mar. It is cold, ugly and there is never enough sun. So I figure why make it worse by making new years resolutions that I know I will not do? I find that I do much better if I just wait until spring.

FATHERS DAY!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY JOSH!

Fathers day at our house was awesome! Josh actually slept in until 8 which if you know Josh this NEVER happens. The kids and I got up and started on all the food assignments for family get together and the homemade fathers day cards. When Josh got up he was showered with lots of hug and kisses from this biggest fans!

After church we headed to Pappys for our first stop and had our own version of Cafe Rio Salad. YUMMY! Josh however had HIS favorite dessert (Gary's dessert AKA- better than S-X) first then dinner. After all it is fathers day right?
