- I just had to type in a word verification and you will never guess what the word was...DAMPIG. Ironic I thought. Between mad cow, bird flu, and now swine flu. Do you really have to wonder why I have meat issues?
- Mckena went to the dentist and surprise surprise had two cavities. Got them both take care of this week and now we are sugar bug free! Pretty much love our dentist. Such a nice man acts a little like a girl but who cares as long as the little people are happy.
- Still feeling a little sorry for myself that our little trip to St. George was so crappy. All I wanted was to lay in the sun and read my book for 1 hour ALONE but that was too much to ask. Instead we froze our fannies, spent way too much time in the car, and had the hotel room from you know where. I guess there is always next time!
- Wondering how long it has been since I cleaned under the stove and fridge. NASTY!!! Does that make me a dirt bag that I can't remember the last time it was cleaned? Anyway I have to get on it because Josh is putting in wood flooring next weekend. Hurray!!!
- Started dieting and running this week. I went for my first run on Monday. It was so windy and chilly that I got icepick head 2 miles in. Wanted to say a swear word but I couldn't breath so I didn't. On Tuesday my hips hurt so bad I couldn't sleep. For real I feel like I am 100, but as hideous as it is I am not giving up. So now that I blogged about it I am truly committed. I guess that means no more ice cream sandwiches while I watch the biggest loser:O)

Easter with the Brown's
After church on Sunday we headed to Jo Jo's for dinner and a Easter egg hunt. Grandma Brown made yummy ham and potatoes and Manda made her famous deviled eggs! There is the crew with Pappy. WOW that is a lot of kids:O)

Easter
Easter morning was better than I thought it was going to be. I needed to be to the church at 7:30 am to volunteer at the Utah Developmental Center which I was not happy about. See I was selfish and wanted to spend Easter morning with my kids but I reluctantly went and it was one of the best experiences ever. It was very touching to push these sweet spirits to church and to see how important it was to them to be there. To just be the the presence of perfect individuals and to see how the life of Jesus Christ makes all things possible was a great way to start out Easter.

So after the kids got their baskets, ate peeps:O) and found some eggs we got ready for church and head out for a really great day...

Bad habit!!
Mckena has started a bad habit of biting her nails. As a former nail biter of 25 yrs I feel know that pain that comes from being a biter so I tried to offer a little advise
Mom: Mckena quit biting your nails. It is going to make your fingers hurt.
Mckena: I can't! They taste so good. They taste like pancakes!
So I guess I need to invest in the sicko nail biting stuff cause I am pretty sure that doesn't taste like pancakes!

Miss Abbie's Big Day!
This was a HUGE day for Abbie! Since she turned 8 years old she decided that she wanted to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On Saturday April 11th 2009 Abbie was baptized by her Dad. It was such a special day for her and all of us that were able to share in the sweet spirit that was there. After the baptism Abbie was surrounded by the priesthood brethren that are so important to her and was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. Josh gave her a very sweet and tender blessing that Abbie will always remember. Then off to a luncheon of soup, rolls, fruit, veggies, and cake. It was a wonderful day surrounded by our families and friends that mean so much to us. Thank you so much for coming and helping make Abbie's day extra special.

Where she thinks she needs to sleep!
Yup that's my baby! Since she was sick and therefore GLUED to me, we seem to be having a little separation anxiety. El goes to bed just fine but wakes up every hour for a little one on one time. I know, I know, I am a sucker. I should just let her cry until she falls asleep again but I just can't do it.
